What to Expect When the Time Comes

An exam room will be set up for you – and you can enter with your pet as soon as you arrive at the clinic. You are encouraged and welcome to be with your pet as they pass. If for any reason you do not wish to be present, know that your veterinarian and their team will do everything in their power to ensure your pet’s last moments are calm and filled with compassion.

We will get you to sign a form authorizing the euthanasia and a doctor and technician will perform the procedure. The doctor may administer an injection to help make your pet more comfortable and an intravenous catheter will be placed in their leg.

The medication used for the euthanasia does not cause any discomfort and our team will work hard to provide you a peaceful atmosphere as you say good-bye.  After the procedure is complete, you can take some time in the room with your family and your loved one in private.
